Coming in at 3rd: Alex Newhook

Sixteen-year-old forward Alex Newhook, is someone who does not go unnoticed on the ice. Born in St. John’s NL the 16 year old forward stands at 5’11 and weighs 170 lbs.

This season he played for the York Simcoe Express Midget AAA, as captain he played in 33 games, recording 43 goals and 31 assists for a total of 74 points. He was at the top of the league with most goals, and most points, and was also named OMHA player of the year for 2016-2017.

Alex is a talented forward with all of the tools to succeed. He shows great agility and quickness on the ice, and can create the separation he needs to make plays. He has very high hockey IQ and great vision on the ice. He is someone who is able to make something happen on every shift and is always competitive. In 2016 he committed to Boston College.
