Coming in at the fourth ranked spot and top defenceman is: Jaxon Bellamy.

 

Coming in at the fourth spot is, Jaxon Bellamy. Born in Saint John, the 16-year-old New Brunswicker is the top ranked defenceman going into this summer’s 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft in Saint John.

This past season Jaxon played with the Saint John Vito’s (Midget AAA) appearing in 32 contests, marking 11 goals and 11 assists for a total of 22 points. Prior to that, he played with the KV Kings in Bantam AAA, registering 54 points in 31 games.

The 6’3, 174 lbs left shooting defenceman is a two way player, and possess a great slap shot, wrist shot as well as a one timer. He has good puck control, good skating ability for his size, and can read the play and his opponents. Jaxon has all of the skills to develop into one of the top defencemen in the league.
