Jordan Spence Commits to Moncton for 2018-2019

The Moncton Wildcats are excited to announce that our 20th overall selection from this year’s draft, Jordan Spence has officially committed to the Wildcats for the 2018-2019 season.

Born in Cornwall PEI, the 17-year-old defenseman played last season with the Summerside Western Capitals of the Maritime Hockey League. In 50 games played, Jordan combined 13 goals and 39 assists for an impressive 52 point season as a defenseman.

“We are extremely happy to have Jordan join the Moncton Wildcats, said Interim Director of Hockey Operations, Ritchie Thibeau. “Jordan is a puck moving defenseman that thinks the game very well. His skill set, and character makes him a great fit for our team.”

During his 16-year-old season in Summerside Jordan was the top scoring rookie in the league with 52 points in 50 games played. His 39 assists on the season led all defensemen in the league, and he was also named rookie of the year in the MHL. Jordan will be a strong addition on the blueline this season, he is a puck moving defenseman, and we look forward to getting him in the lineup this coming season.

This season’s home opener will be on Friday September 28th at 7:00 p.m. against the Saint John Sea Dogs. If you are interested in season tickets with us at the new Event’s Centre, please call 382-5555 or drop by the office for more information at 377 Killam Drive Gate 2.
