Moncton Wildcats announce changes to business operations
Moncton, April 24, 2019 – After more than four years as Director of Business Operations with the Moncton Wildcats, Ryan Jenner will move from the team to a management role at Midland Transport effective May 15, 2019.
“I want to thank Mr. Irving for the incredible experience of leading the business operations for the Wildcats,” said Jenner. “I had the great privilege of overseeing the team’s move into our new home at the Avenir Centre while also continuing to build strong relationships with season ticket holders, business partners and the local community.”
Originally from Port Williams, Nova Scotia, Jenner has been the Director of Business Operations with the Moncton Wildcats since 2014. During this time, he also completed his EMBA from the Ivey School of Business.
“The move to Midland Transport is an opportunity for me to grow my career,” said Jenner. “I’m pleased it will allow me to stay in Moncton where I can continue to support the Wildcats as a fan.”
The incoming Director of Business Operations is Keven Charland, the Wildcats current Manager of Business Development.
“It’s a natural step for Keven to move into this role. He’s been committed to the Moncton Wildcats since he joined the team in June 2014. The organization has a great future under Keven’s direction,” said Jenner.
Charland, originally from Victoriaville, Quebec, played in the QMJHL for five seasons and following that, he graduated from the Université de Moncton with a business and marketing degree. He was responsible for developing relationships with local and national sponsors and has a great working relationship with the staff in the QMJHL.
“I’ve been very fortunate to work alongside Ryan and the rest of the team through many exciting times,” said Charland. “I’m thrilled to lead the business operations as we continue to build the franchise in our amazing new facility with the League’s best fans.”
“Ryan has always been a true professional and committed to the Wildcats especially when it came to a smooth transition for our players and fans into our new state-of-the-art facility. I want to personally thank him for his dedication,” said Robert K. Irving, Moncton Wildcats President. “Keven understands the business side of hockey and the QMJHL. He has proven himself as a valuable member of the Moncton Wildcats and we look forward to what he will continue to bring to the team.”
Josh Harris recently joined the Moncton Wildcats and will fill Charland’s position as Manager of Business Development. He has a bachelor in kinesiology and exercise science from Acadia University and an MBA in sport and recreation management from the University of New Brunswick. He was previously the Executive Director of Football New Brunswick.
