Projected in the fifth spot at the 2017 Draft is; Jakob Pelletier

Projected in the fifth spot at this year’s upcoming QMJHL Entry Draft this summer in Saint John is Jakob Pelletier. Born in 2001, the 16 year-old forward is a native of Québec and played this past season in the QMAAA. Although he is a smaller player at 5’8 and 150 lbs, he has great speed and is very versatile on the ice. One of his strengths is his skating, as well as his intensity during the games.

Point production is another strong suite in Jakob’s game. This year playing with the Séminaire St-François Blizzard he appeared in 40 games, netting 25 goals and registering 32 assists for 57 points. It was a similar trend for Jakob during the 2015-2016 season playing in the QBAAA , recording 50 points in 32 games; averaging a goal a game and 1.56 points per game.
