Wildcats dominate in game four win over the Océanic

MONCTON N.B. – It was game four of the best of seven series tonight at the Coliseum between and Wildcats and Océanic in first round playoff action. After a tough loss last night, Moncton was looking to bounce back to tie the series at 2-2; and with a 6-2 victory it was mission accomplished this evening.

James Phelan was the first star of the game tonight recording two goals, one of which was the opening goal at 5:44 of the first frame to give the team some early momentum. Rimouski would respond with a goal two minutes later courtesy of Anthony Gagnon, but after that it was all Moncton. Capannelli added another at the end of the first to give the home team a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes, and the goals kept coming.

Phelan added the teams third goal early in the second to boost the lead by two, but with a rough string of penalties it looked as though Rimouski might have some opportunity to come back. The turning point in this game came at 15:40 of the second when Brady Pataki wristed a short handed breakaway goal past Colten Ellis which ended up being the insurance goal in the win. Hudson and Aspirot also added their first goals of this series to add to the Cats total tonight.

Grametbauer looked sharp in nets tonight turning away 20 Rimouski shots in the win. Three stars went to Phelan (1), Capannelli (2), and Aspirot (3).

The Wildcats will return to Rimouski on Friday for game five. Then, Sunday your Wildcats are back at home for game six! Puck drops at 4:00 p.m. Moncton we need your support, come fill the Coliseum and #LeaveYourMark
