Wildcats release 20-year-old forward Liam Dunda

MONCTON N.B. – The Moncton Wildcats have released 20-year-old  forward Liam Dunda.

After playing four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League; totalling 232 regular season CHL games, the Wildcats acquired Liam this past summer as a free agent after being placed on waivers from the OHL. Since his arrival in Moncton, Liam has been in the lineup for 33 games, recording 13 points.

“Liam was a great person to have,” said Director of Hockey Operations, Roger Shannon. “The decision was made as a staff to release Liam, he will now go back home to Ontario and finish his year there. Short term it made sense for us to keep Liam, but looking at the long term, we want to be able to give our younger players a chance at more ice time as we move forward.”

The Wildcats would like to thank Liam for his time here in Moncton and his impact both on and off the ice, and wish him nothing but the best.
