Wildcats roster down to 24 after players are reassigned

 

After a very tight game against the Screaming Eagles last night, Cape Breton handed Moncton their first loss of the pre-season. Following a scoreless opening 20 minutes, Jonathan Aspirot got the Cats on the board first on a feed from Jacob Hudson midway through the second. Cape Breton would end up taking a 2-1 lead and with time winding down, Moncton forward Jeremy McKenna, netted a power play goal to tie the game and send it to overtime. Cape Breton would score first in the extra frame, making the final 3-2. After the loss last night, Moncton now holds a 5-0-1  pre-season record.

 

As of today, the following players have been reassigned :

Francis Thibeault – Defence

Charles Taillon – Forward

Casey Fox – Forward

Logan Johnston – Forward

Connor Senken – Defence

Derek Dicaire – Forward

Alec MacDonald – Goaltender

Connor McCluskey – Defence

Mathieu Boulianne – Forward

Mark Rumsey – Forward

Jake Stewart – Forward

Adam Zimmermann – Forward  (left camp to maintain NCAA eligibility)

Remaining in camp there are 24 players total: 15 forwards, 7 defencemen and two goaltenders.
