Wildcats welcome veteran broadcaster Tim Roszell to the team!
MONCTON N.B. – The Moncton Wildcats are excited to announce that Tim Roszell will be joining our team as our official Radio Broadcaster for the upcoming 2018-2019 season. Tim is coming on board after twelve seasons as the play-by-play announcer for the Saint John Sea Dogs, starting in 2006. He also served as the Sea Dogs` manager of communications for the past five seasons.
Tim brings a wealth of experience and hockey knowledge to this role, and we look forward to our fans having the opportunity to experience a broadcast with Tim behind the mic.
With Marty Kingston taking a step away from hockey as he runs for MLA with the PC party in Moncton East, the team had a large role to fill and we are thrilled that we have an experienced broadcaster in Tim taking over the role.
Tim is a graduate of the Broadcast Journalism and Television News programs at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. He worked as a news anchor and reporter at News 88.9 CHNI-FM Saint John, News 95.7 CJNI Halifax and AM 980 CFPL London. He also enjoyed television stints at CFPL-TV and Rogers TV in London.
“I’m really excited for the opportunity to join the Wildcats,” Roszell said. “This is a first-class organization with a strong team on and off the ice. I’m looking forward to broadcasting in a new, state-of-the-art facility, and I can’t wait to meet and get to know the fans.”
Tim and his family live in Saint John but he will still cover all of the Wildcats home and away games for the upcoming season. We look forward to having Tim as part of our team as we enter this exciting era of Wildcats hockey in our new state-of-the-art home at the Events Centre.
“We are very pleased to welcome veteran broadcaster Tim Roszell to the Wildcat organization, said Ryan Jenner, Director of Business Operations. “Tim comes with a deep knowledge of the league and this will translate into a high quality broadcast for the Wildcat faithful. Tim’s in-depth analysis and player/ coaches interviews are sure to give fans an inside perspective that all sports fans crave! Please join us in welcoming Tim to the team and to Moncton – a city and a team on the rise!”
We are happy to say that we are back on CITA Harvesters FM again this season. You can tune in for all games at: 105.1 Moncton, 99.1 Amherst, 107.3 FM Sussex and 107.7 Bouctouche.
