A Saturday night win over the Titan

Daniel St. Louis

Wildcats goaltender Jacob Steinman earned First Star honors with a solid 36-save performance leading the hometown Wildcats past the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 4-1 at Avenir Centre before 3800 fans in QMJHL action Saturday night. Moncton’s 10th win of the season also halted a 2-game losing streak.

Veteran Vincent Labelle led the way once again with 2 goals and an assist. Labelle is also proving dangerous very early — he has opened the scoring for the Cats in 4 of the last 6 games — four goals all within the first 3 minutes of play!

Sniper Yoan Loshing scored twice, his 10th and 11th, and Charles Beaudoin provided his own highlight reel goal, potting his 6th of the year as the game winner. Defenseman Étienne Morin chipped in with two assists. The game also marked the return of winger Luke McPhee to the Wildcats lineup.
