The Wildcats — winners of 7 of their last 8 — are staying hot at the right time. They have propelled themselves into 3rd in the Eastern Conference. The Isles have their sights set on 6th so today’s game could be a preview of a 1st Round playoff matchup.

Forwards Preston Lounsbury (lower body), Miles Müller (upper body) and Thomas Auger (upper body) are still sidelined. Vincent Labelle (upper body) is day-to-day. Riley Sampson will be in the lineup.

The Islanders are on the road this weekend as their home arena is hosting the 2023 U Cup. The Cats hold a 4-3 season series edge so far and Charlottetown have dropped all 3 at the Avenir Centre. With final playoff positioning on their minds, they will be tough to beat Friday night.
