Eagles enter WildTown for Sunday Funday matinée

The Cats are desperately looking to grab 2 points from Cape Breton. Moncton fell 7-3 to the Sea Dogs last night after getting behind early. They pushed the game to 5-3 briefly, but a comeback was not to be. The Cats have lost 5 of their last 6 and are heading off on a tough Québec road trip this week. A win today would help set the tone for that 3-game set.

The Eagles are in a free-for-all for a playoff spot. If the post-season tournament started today, Cape Breton would be out by just a single point. On the plus side, they have had reasonable success versus Moncton — taking 4 of 6 games this season. CB leading scorer Ivan Ivan (17G, 33A) has been a real thorn in the Wildcats’ paw with 8 points in those 6 matchups.
