MONCTON N.B. – The Moncton Wildcats are excited to announce that Daniil Miromanov has officially signed with the team.
Daniil joined the QMJHL in 2015-2016, playing in two full season with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, the power forward put up 42 points in 64 games during his first year in the league, and managed nearly a point per game last year with 62 points in 68 games played while wearing the “A” for the Titan.
During this summer’s trade period, Miromanov was part of an exchange with the Titan where Liam Murphy and two draft picks went to Bathurst, while Miromanov, Desjardins, and a 6th round pick were acquired by Moncton. Daniil played the first part of the season in the KHL, but has decided to make the return to the QMJHL.
He will join the Wildcats as a 20-year-old and will be a immediate asset to the team. He has been playing defence in the KHL this season and will play that same position here in Moncton. Standing at 6’4″ and weighing 198 lbs he will be a strong presence on the blue line and a leader on and off the ice.
“ After five months of working on things, we are really excited to finally have Daniil joining the Wildcats, said Director of Hockey Operations Roger Shannon. “He will provide that veteran play and leadership we have been hoping for and bring stability to the back end. We have a lot of hockey people to thank for helping us pull this together and are looking forward to having him in our lineup.”
Daniil will join the team on the road this week and play his first game in a Wildcats jersey on Thursday vs. Blainville.
