Titan edge out the Cats on Sunday afternoon

A goaltending duel Sunday at Avenir Centre saw the Acadie-Bathurst Titan score in the opening minute of the third period and add an empty-netter late to get past the Wildcats, 2-0.

Chad Arsenault turned aside 34 saves for his first QMJHL shutout in just his second career game.

Moncton’s Dakota Lund-Cornish made 30 saves of his own and was named third star.

Titan forward Bennett MacArthur scored the eventual winner 41 seconds into the third period. Acadie-Bathurst found an empty net with 57.4 seconds to go.

Mathis Cloutier, Gabriel Fortier and Jacob Hudson each had four shots on goal for Moncton.
