Wildcats call up two additional players

MONCTON N.B. – The Moncton Wildcats have called up Thomas Darcy and Gavin Watt – Nathan Casey also remains with the team.

Defenceman Thomas Darcy, will wear #7 for the Wildcats in his QMJHL debut tomorrow night. The 17-year-old from Quebec made the move to NB this season to play with Rothesay Netherwood, playing in three games and tallying five points. Thomas also played three games with the Fredericton Red Wings, notching a point per game there with three. He was one of the team’s most recent draft picks, added during the 2020 QMJHL Entry Draft, selected in the 8th round.

Already playing two games with the team this season, Gavin Wall will be back in the lineup with Moncton, and will wear #17. Currently playing with the Miramichi Timberwolves of the MJAHL, he has appeared in 11 games this season, adding three goals and six assists for nine points.

Also, remaining in the lineup will be Nathan Casey, who has been on the Wildcats roster for the past three games.

The Wildcats currently have a handful of players who will not take to the ice for Friday’s match against the Sea Dogs.

Jacob Stewart will miss tomorrow’s game as he serves his final game of a two game suspension for fighting.

The remainder of the missing players are all currently out due to injury: Max Barbashev, Vincent Labelle, Sam McKinney and Franky Iasenza.
