Wildcats end road trip in style with 2 points in Val-d’Or

The Wildcats completed their 3-game Quebec road trip with an impressive 4-3 victory over the Foreurs in Val D’Or on Saturday night.
The Wildcats completely shut down the Foreurs in the third period — outshooting them 16-1 along with goals from Francesco Iasenza, his 3rd, and the eventual game-winner from speedy winger Alex Mercier, his 2nd of the season.
Other Moncton goals to Max Barbashev, his 8th, and Yoan Loshing, his 13th. Vincent Labelle also added two assists.
The Wildcats outshot the Foreurs 34-15 with Vincent Fillion recording the win.

The Wildcats improved their record to 11-9-0-1. The Cats now ‘Defend the Den’ in a weekend doubleheader — Friday, November 25 at 7 pm against the Huskies and Sunday, November 27, at 4pm against Maritime Division-leading Halifax Mooseheads.
