Wildcats fall in Game 4, trail Round 2 series 3-1

The Halifax Mooseheads shut down the Wildcats 3-0 before 4,300 at Avenir Centre to take a commanding 3-1 series lead in the Best-of-Seven Gilles-Courteau Trophy quarter-final.

Halifax goaltender Mathis Rousseau was flawless with a 24-save shutout performance. The Mooseheads had 34 shots at Jacob Steinman. First Star Mathieu Cataford paced the Moose with a goal and an assist.

The series now shifts back to Scotiabank Centre for Game 5 Sunday at 2pm. A 6th game, if necessary, is scheduled for Monday night at the Avenir Centre at 7pm.

You can watch Games 5 on Sunday at the Official Wildcats Viewing Parties at Sports Rock at 2pm — Moncton or Dieppe locations.
