Wildcats start road trip with loss to Armada

The second Québec Road trip of the season began with the Wildcats scoring first once again in Blainville-Boisbriand, but the Armada rebounded to take out the Cats 6-1 in a chippy affair at the Centre D’Excellence Sports Rousseau.

Defenseman Anthony Hamel potted his first of the season but the Armada still managed a 2-1 period lead-despite being outshot 15- 6.

Three more second period goals sealed the Armada win. Jonathan Fauchon led the Armada offence with a goal and three assists.

Blainville outshot the Wildcats 38-34- both Vincent Filion and Jacob Steinman saw action. Defenseman Thomas Darcy also returned to the Wildcats lineup after suffering a training camp injury.

The Wildcats take their 10-8-0-1 record into Rouyn-Noranda Friday at 8 pm (Atlantic) and Val D’Or Saturday at 5 pm (Atlantic)
