Mika Cyr scored twice and Olivier Rodrigue made 30 saves to blank his former team as the Wildcats defeated the Drummondville Voltigeurs, 4-0, Sunday at Avenir Centre.

Jakob Pelletier opened the scoring three-and-a-half minutes into the first period.

Cyr made it a 2-0 game nearly eleven minutes into the frame and Moncton led 2-0 after twenty minutes.

Zachary L’Heureux extended the lead to 3-0 23 seconds into the second period and Cyr finished off the scoring with his second of the game midway through the period.

Alexander Khovanov’s assist on Pelletier’s goal was the 200th point in his QMJHL career. He’s the eleventh player in franchise history to reach at least 200 points. It also extended his points streak to 17 games (34 points), the longest points streak in the QMJHL this season.

L’Heureux finished the game with three points. Jared McIsaac chipped in with two assists.
